“ I think that every good piece of artwork embodies some great truth about life [in one way or another]. When we witness it’s greatness, it is in that truth [no matter how big or small] that we are anchored. We see a reflection, a flicker, a spark of something that, in a supreme kind of a way, makes sense.
The ultimate paradox of existence is that [apparently] we can do it, but we can not know it. It is in our surroundings and with our ability to use our senses in an abstract cognitive manner that we can find glimpses into parts of our whole.”

What is this?

At first I try to spit it out.

My mouth is full.

The texture is of oatmeal prepared with too little water and left to cool.

The flavor is non-existent (though that matters not).

I feel a choking, gagging sensation.

My tongue manages to push out a few chunks.

This…stuff, it seems to keep on coming.

It sticks to my teeth,

The roof of my mouth,

The sides of my gums,

And it fills up my cheeks.

There is so much.

I swallow some of it.

Now it is too dry to spit out.

I begin to use my fingers to pry it out one clump at a time.

I run my pointer fingers from the back of my mouth to the front,

Along the space between my molars and cheeks.

My mouth remains full.

I am disoriented.

Am I regurgitating this sick profusion of mass?

Or…

Maybe I was trying to consume it?

Either way, I just cannot rid myself of whatever the substance might be.
